Dave Klimek is a court-qualified Expert Witness in both State and Federal Court. His investigations have withstood the highest levels of legal scrutiny — including review and affirmation by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He provides testimony in civil and criminal proceedings across fraud, financial crimes, use of force, security matters, and investigative methodology. In one notable engagement, Dave testified as a qualified expert witness in a Texas State Court murder jury trial on self-defense and the reasonable and appropriate use of deadly force — helping the defense secure a just acquittal for a defendant who had been facing life in prison.

Complex Fraud & Asset Recovery
As a Certified Fraud Examiner with FBI financial crimes experience spanning bank fraud, mortgage fraud, securities fraud, and government fraud, Dave provides fraud examination and asset recovery services that go well beyond standard PI capabilities. As the FBI Case Agent, he planned, coordinated, and commanded a 500+ person joint interagency operation with the FBI, IRS, and USPIS — executing simultaneous search and arrest warrants at 18 enforcement sites across the United States, including law firms (pursuant to the crime-fraud exception) and medical facilities — resulting in the indictment and simultaneous arrest of 22 subjects in a multi-national organized crime fraud ring.
Human Trafficking & Crimes Against Children
Drawing on extensive FBI experience investigating labor and sex trafficking and crimes against children, Tracecraft provides specialized investigative support for these sensitive, high-stakes matters — with the discretion and victim-advocacy commitment they demand. During the final years of his FBI tenure, Dave Klimek served on the Child Abduction Rapid Deployment (CARD) team — responding to Amber Alerts as a member of the FBI's Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking squad. He also served as the FBI Dallas Division's Human Trafficking Task Force Coordinator, embedded with the Dallas Police Department's High Risk Victims and Trafficking Unit.
